ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A new text alert service can keep you posted on local health issues you choose to know about. The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties, along with Allen County Public Health, is offering this service to keep people in the know.

The service will update you on upcoming events, overdose spikes, Narcan distribution, and more.

The service will update you on upcoming events, overdose spikes, Narcan distribution, and more. You choose what you want to learn about, and organizers hope people will use this to help others, but also to help themselves with the options available.

"And one is going to be to get the information out there so you know how to obtain resources. You know where you can go to get information on events. And some of those events themselves may have information that helps you get some help that you may need or somebody you know may need. So the more people we can get this information out to, the better the opportunity to reach those in need," explained Dan Faragila, crisis coordinator for the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties.
