Lima City Council received a petition to vacate Jackson Street after plans to build a new eleven million dollar facility. Dominion East Ohio utility company has plans in place for a new facility at its current location. Before building can begin, a new roadway is in discussion for better traffic flow. Council says the overall plan to reroute traffic away from the intersection of Market and Pine and instead utilize a new roadway that will connect Jackson and Market Street making traffic more manageable.
