Nominations for the 2022 Jefferson Awards are now being accepted.
It’s a longstanding national program to recognize “unsung heroes” in our lives. Those who give their time and effort to improve their community by volunteering. If you know of anyone that has made an impact in some way you are encouraged to nominate them. Nomination can come from Allen, Auglaize, Putnam, Hardin, Hancock, and Van Wert Counties.
Sandy Monfort with the Jefferson Awards adds, “There is no giving of yourself or your efforts to others in the community that is not enough. It’s what hat takes to make communities even better. It takes the volunteers and the individuals, youth and adults, couples and organizations that go that extra mile that’s what makes the difference for all of our communities.”
You can find the nominations forms online at unitedwaylima.org or at the United Way of Greater Lima office. They are due by March 16th.
