LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Music Academy is looking for the public's help in continuing its mission of empowering people of all ages with the gift of music.
The nonprofit began in 2022 and gives free lessons in piano, voice, and violin to people of all ages.
The nonprofit began in 2022 and gives free lessons in piano, voice, and violin to people of all ages. Research has found that learning music helps the learning process in all areas. It also helps students beyond their school years in areas like reading comprehension, memory, and problem-solving. But now the Lima Music Academy is looking for people to become regular donors to help continue and grow their program.

"We are working hard to help enrich students in the area with the gift of music education. We have had some wonderful corporate sponsors, but now we are asking for individuals to step up and be able to help, so we are able to provide more lessons that are free of charge to students in the area. But we also need to be able to get more teachers, that we are able to fill some of the needs that are being requested from the community," says Tara Reynolds-Bales, Lima Music Academy.
