LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — If you asked Santa to be a billionaire this Christmas, that wish could be granted if you win Monday night’s Powerball jackpot.
The $1.6 billion jackpot is the fourth-largest in Powerball history and the fifth largest for all multistate lotteries. For those who choose the lump-sum option, the cash value is estimated at $735 million.
The last Powerball jackpot was won in September. While there was no jackpot winner in Saturday night’s drawing, lottery officials are reminding players to check their tickets carefully. Many tickets won cash prizes, including eight tickets worth $1 million. One of those winning tickets was sold in Ohio.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, Dec. 20, drawing were 4, 5, 28, 52, 69, with a red Powerball of 20. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.
The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
