CONVOY, Ohio (WLIO) — A Payne woman was killed Friday morning in a crash involving a semi and a car in Van Wert County.
Nineteen-year-old Kaci Rae Sentelik was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at U.S. 30 and State Route 49 shortly after 9 a.m. According to troopers from the Van Wert Post, Sentelik was traveling south on State Route 49 and stopped at the stop sign before proceeding across U.S. 30. Troopers said she pulled into the path of a semi driven by 24-year-old Gavin Brady Smith of Michigan.
The crash caused the westbound lane of U.S. 30 to close while the livestock Smith was carrying could be moved. The crash remains under investigation.
