LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Some may face it more than others, but experiencing conflict is bound to take place in our lives.
Those in attendance learned how to reframe their approach to conflict and important skills for navigating conflict in as healthy and constructive way as possible.
The Peace Center invited Executive Director of Crime Victim Services Amy Wiechart-Bayliff to discuss how to constructively manage conflict. Those in attendance learned how to reframe their approach to conflict and important skills for navigating conflict in as healthy and constructive way as possible. The hope is that each person can walk away feeling more confident when addressing conflict in their everyday relationships.
"I think a lot of people sometimes get nervous or tend to avoid conflict or feel that they can't engage efficiently because they're not sure of the skills or the right things to do or say. We definitely have opportunities to learn through our life, but those are skills that can be taught, and so the more opportunities we have through education to utilize, learn, practice those skills is going to help us to be better conflict managers in our own lives," says Amy Wiechart-Bayliff.
