The Mercer County Sheriff allowing fairgoers to get rid of any unused prescription drugs.
Tuesday, the sheriff's office will provide a prescription drug drop-off box to fairgoers. This is the first year the sheriff's office has presented a drop-off box at the fair, per request of the Mercer County Drug Prevention Coalition. Sheriff Jeff Grey believes a box at the fair is a good way for the public to help tackle drug problems within the county.
The sheriff's office plans to present the box at their table in the business building on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
