One Putnam County teenager is looking to help support his local sheriff's office through a lemonade stand.

Ottawa-Glandorf freshman Chase Maag and friends teamed up to sell the lemonade and cookies to help raise money to support the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. This is not the first time that Maag has made lemonade for a good cause; last year, his stand was set up in support of a family member to help pay for her cancer treatments. He was able to raise $3,000.

This time around, Maag says that he wanted to lend a helping hand to those that serve the county every day. "Law enforcement go out of their way, sacrificing their lives and sometimes losing their lives," Maag said. "Law enforcement don't get the credit that they should, so I talked with Sheriff [Brian] Siefker, and it was a go, and that's why I did this."

The stand is along Road 11-J, right off of State Route 224 in Ottawa. The stand will be running until Friday, July 26th.
