LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Columbus man is facing a jury for having sexual contact with a teenage girl after a night of drinking.
31-year-old Cornelius Ware Jr.'s trial started Tuesday afternoon after a jury was finally seated. Ware was indicted on rape, gross sexual imposition, and sexual battery charges. Lima detectives say that he allegedly had sexual contact with the teenage girl in September of 2020 who was passed out after drinking. Ware lived in Lima at the time of the incident and denies that anything happened. The trial will resume on Wednesday.
