Reverend Robert B. Jones performs at Blues Concert in Lima

It was a night of smooth music at the Allen County Museum as the Reverend Robert B. Jones performed for the crowd during the annual Blues concert.

Jones has more than twenty years experience as a blues performer, musician and Detroit radio host. Jones has performed at some of Detroit's best music venues, which led to a touring career including at the Chicago Blues Festival and tours throughout Europe. He also started an educational program called "Blues for Schools."

"I think my niche is that I like to turn people on to the roots of American music. In other words, I'm as interested in the music that came before the blues, as the blues itself. I love to tell stories, " said Reverend Robert B. Jones.

This was a free concert put on by the Allen County Historical Society and the Blues Committee of Lima. Jones is the visiting artist for the Blues in Schools program in the Lima City Schools this week.
