LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - New college students were gearing up for the start of their college career at Rhodes State College.
Around 400 students will be starting this fall, and during "Welcome Day," some of the new students got to check out the campus and also understand a little more about college life at Rhodes. During different sessions, they learned about paying for college, technology access on campus, and other areas to hit the ground running.
“College is a big deal, and we want to take away any sort of angst that they might have starting here at Rhodes State. So, this is a way for them to get acclimated to the campus as well as learn about all the resources we have available for them to help them be successful,” says Brendan Greaney, VP of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
After the sessions, there were group activities to help them get to know one another. Classes at Rhodes State begin on August 19th.
