The Spring Career Fair has been a staple for over 20 years at the University of Northwestern Ohio and allows students to come face-to-face with potential future employers. Many local, regional, and national companies were present, with over 70 booths from 15 different states for students to visit and learn more about what they have to offer.

Besides finding a future match for their career path, the career fair offers students insight into many things that go into job searching for their specific trade.

"I think it's really valuable for young students to learn the importance of benefits, and the different pay scales and the different types of pay, and how the real world and companies actually work before they get thrown into it, and it's a good opportunity for them to kind of start planning for their future instead of going in blind," said Jacob Hixenbaugh, director of career services at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

"If you get comfortable talking with people, then the job opportunities are there; there's dozens of them, and it really made me realize that every company got their own benefits; some of them got fantastic ones. You can go pretty much wherever you want. But there's so many different options, opportunities, and stuff that actually made me consider, 'Maybe I don't wanna go back. Maybe I'd wanna work for a company like that. But the opportunities, you can potentially move overseas with something like that, so it's amazing just getting to see the other options that are out there that you wouldn't have seen if you were just looking on your own, necessarily," said Cameron Tarsa, a senior at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

Students will be graduating in June, and 82% of University of Northwestern Ohio graduates are employed or continuing their education within 6 months of graduation.
