LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - St. Charles hosted a mission featuring Deacon Art Miller.
A mission is an outreach effort from the catholic church to spread faith and teach the gospel. This parish mission at St. Charles was to focus on Christ’s call to radical love, which the church defines as a self-denying, life-changing love that can only happen through the grace and power of Jesus Christ. With speaker deacon art miller, the audience was able to participate in bible stories, learn about the love of Christ, and be able to sing along to praise music.
"To be true followers, in my faith, true followers of Christ is to follow Him out of the church and into the streets, take care of our brothers and sisters," says Deacon Arthuer Miller, the speaker for the mission.
He adds that meeting with others of the same faith is common among each other, and what is learned in church should be applied to our daily lives.
