LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Senior Culinary Arts students are saying bon appétit to folks who'd like to come and try their tasteful delights.
The Spartan Inn is now open with customers being able to order from a limited menu, changing from the buffet-only option in the past. The student-run restaurant welcomes students to pursue their dreams in culinary arts & put their passion on display for being in the kitchen & managing a restaurant.
"We like to make everyone feel welcome. Give them some good meals to come to in the mornings and just make everyone happy," said Aniyah Fisher, a junior at Lima Senior High School.
"Well, I like to feed people, like make people happy. I know food is a happiness to some people and I like to make people happy. We cook potatoes, we have cooked chicken before, I like baking the cakes, helping frost them. Stuff like that," said Jeauna Cowan, a junior at Lima Senior High School.
"I just love food. I'm a big foodie, and so one day when I'm older I really want to travel the world before I get into the private chef, or before I become a private chef. I want to travel around the world to experience the culture and also eat the foods of different cultures, it's good experience. I want to be very diverse in my palate so yeah," commented Vanisa Sinthalaphone, a junior at Lima Senior High School.
The Spartan Inn is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday and is located in the northwest wing of the high school at 1 Spartan Way Lima OH 45801.
