It's hard to believe but summer is not that far away and the City of Lima is looking to fill their Summer Playground Program.
Registration for the 8-week program will begin May 11th. It's for kids 6 to 12 years of age and runs June 10th through August 2nd. Locations will be Faurot, Robb, and Dr. Martin Luther King parks in the city. They can accommodate up to 180 children between the three sites. Each site has park leaders that will be in charge from 8:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Summer Playground Program is open to children from the region with a $40 fee for kids going to school within the City of Lima and $50 for children in a school outside the city. Again sign up begins Saturday, May 11th at the Parks and Rec Office located at 900 South Collett Street.
