OhioMeansJobs Allen County presented 10 Allen County high school seniors with a scholarships.
Each student received a scholarship worth $1,000 that they can use on education and resources for work.
"One of the things that we did to combat the brain drain in Allen County was to put these career consultants out in schools to kind of act as their guidance counselor for life," said Joe Patton, Director at OhioMeansJobs. "Because after they graduate, they really don't have anyone, now they have us, so that relationship's been key, it's great working in schools and that helps progress them into Allen County employment or local opportunities."
