It’s a job that just gets done and most don’t think about how and who gets that job done.
Friday the Mercy Health-St. Rita’s environmental services team were recognized for all their hard work with a chicken dinner. Better known to many as housekeeping, the EVS team has been that silent partner that keeps the entire facility clean and sterilized. After the last two years, the pandemic has become more intense to stay on top of the situation. The Smith Jones Family Foundation took time to thank these hard-working individuals for a job well done and they were appreciative.
Yvette Gordon is a Supervisor in House Keeping and says, “Oh, it’s incredible. We have a great staff here. We work hard and it’s just incredible and awesome that he came to recognize us.”
Londell Smith is the spokesman for the Smith Jones Family Foundation and had this to say, “Everybody got credit and recognition but them and today we wanted to say, you know what? The work that you do matters, you are important, and you are essential.”
Smith says it is because of these people that the doctors and nurses can do what they do. Mercy Health-Saint Rita’s has 130 EVS team members.
