The third woman involved in the death of a Hilty home patient Phyllis Campbell last winter, had her final pre-trial today.
32-year-old Megan Schnipke was offered a plea deal by Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers. The state would drop the charge of patient neglect in exchange for a guilty plea to her felony of the fifth-degree charge and misdemeanor of the first-degree charge. The agreement is she would serve community control. Schnipke and her defense said they needed time to think it over with an October 17th deadline.
The other two women, 20-year-old Destiny Fenbert and 36-year-old Rachel Friesel took plea deals in both their cases. Both women pleaded guilty forgery and gross patient neglect. They await sentencing.
