December 2, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol: JACKSON – Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol filed felony drug charges against a man from Detroit following a traffic stop in Scioto County on Wednesday. During the traffic stop, troopers seized over $146,000 worth of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on November 27, troopers stopped a rented 2023 GMC Yukon with a state of Washington registration for a moving violation on state Route 823. While interacting with the driver, Trevon K. Parker, 26, troopers observed cocaine residue on the passenger seat. A consent to search was granted by the driver, which revealed 3 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and 70 grams of fentanyl worth approximately $146,662.

Parker was arrested and taken to the Scioto County Jail on charges of possession of drugs – schedule I or II substance, a first-degree felony, a first-degree felony. If convicted, he could face up to 11 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
