HANCOCK COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) — Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Friday night in Hancock County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Samuel Saum, 48, suffered life-threatening injuries and his passenger, Christine Lomeli, 53, suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened just after 8 p.m. on U.S. 68 near State Route 15. Investigators said Saum was traveling north on U.S. 68 when the motorcycle lost control and went off the roadway. Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle and neither was wearing a helmet. Saum was flown to a Toledo hospital for treatment. Lomeli was treated at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
