VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) - Several area counties are seeking input from residents to help shape a new regional economic development strategy.
Van Wert, Allen, Putnam, Hancock, and Hardin counties are collaborating on a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) survey. The goal is to identify key priorities for economic growth in each of the participating counties. The survey allows residents to share what they believe is most important for their communities, from business and infrastructure needs to personal and lifestyle considerations.
"The survey that we're sending out to everybody is to kind of get the public's input on things that are important to you both from a business standpoint, from a personal standpoint, from a lifestyle standpoint, and all five of the counties are doing the same basic survey. So then we pool that all together. There's going to be common denominators in all five counties, and then that will kind of help design that comprehensive economic development strategy," said Brent Stevens, executive director with the Van Wert Area Economic Development Corporation.
To find out how to complete the survey, visit your respective county’s economic development website for more information.
