It’s nearly back to business as usual for the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center as they are midway into their comeback season.
The Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center’s chief executive officer spoke to Lima Rotarians about the journey they have had through the pandemic. After closing the doors for a period of time, their comeback season started last October. Ticket sales for performances have been going well, weekend hall rentals are full, but weekday rentals have been slow.
Chief Executive Officer Abe Ambroza explains, “Some of these are happening because of technology. We’ve got a new competitor now out here in the virtual meeting world. So, just trying to make those adjustments to see where we can fill in those gaps that are currently there.”
Ambroza wants to thank all those that supported them financially during the pandemic through several fundraising events.
