Volunteers Donate Treasures to Children's Developmental Center

A group of local teens have taken it upon themselves to help out a Lima Memorial Health Systems program.

The Children’s Developmental Center at Lima Memorial helps birth to school-aged children who may have a special need or simply need assistance while they grow. This unique program focuses on developmental classes, physical, occupational and speech therapies. This year, Helen Beerline, Lily Carpenter, and Meredith Swick led a project that put together treasure chests filled with everything the kids could need from snacks to cleaning materials and even a special surprise gift.

The surplus of treasures supplied by the three students will prove to be vital materials used in day to day operations at the Children’s Developmental Center.
