LICKING COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - There's new information tonight, concerning that fatal crash on I-70, east of Columbus yesterday, that involved a charter bus; two commercial vehicles, and two passenger vehicles. The crash claimed six lives and injured more than a dozen people.

A Wapakoneta man driving a commercial vehicle owned by G.A. Wintzer and Sons was among those involved in the crash. The Ohio Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Brandon Marchal of Wapakoneta was struck. Of the two trucks involved, one driver was transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was treated and released at the scene. The patrol did not identify which driver was transported.
The patrol says three people from the charter bus, and three occupants of one passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol had said there were conflicting witness statements as to the cause of the crash, which remains under state and federal investigation.
