Wapakoneta Mayor incumbent Tom Stinebaugh and challenger Brandon Terrill were asked a series of questions. The housing shortage, top priorities, and issues they plan to tackle if elected were just some of the topics discussed. One of the first issues Stinebaugh says he would tackle is stormwater and wastewater problems. Terrill says he would tackle the flooding issues in the city. As both candidates prepare for election day they say they'll do all they can to put the citizens of the city first.

“We’re all in this together,” said Stinebaugh. “I’m elected official. I take that very seriously but I want to make sure they understand that this is about them and not me. “

“I’ve been here for 20 years,” said Terrill. “I moved here around 16 years old. I’m just a fresh face and I’m not a politician. I’m just a blue-collar wanting what’s best for the citizens.”

City council candidates for the first ward and candidates for three at large positions also participated in the forum which was hosted by the youth in government student organization.
