WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) - From sketch to reality, a Wapakoneta resident sees her drawing on the big stage. Back in July, the Bowling Green State University football team selected two winners from their kid's logo design contest.

One of those winners was Wapakoneta's Tegan Friemering, who saw her logo featured on ESPN and worn by every defensive player's helmet during last Saturday's game against Northern Illinois. The 14-year-old soaked in the full experience, as she was recognized as an honorary team captain before the game and was rewarded with team gear, including the helmet with her winning logo on it.

"I had a lot of different rough drafts. None of them were anywhere close to the falcon ripping it yet. I had like all sorts of things. Then, it finally came to that one from like three days of thinking of ideas. Just here and there, not spending a full three days on it. Honestly, I was really shocked, happy, and honored that I had this opportunity, a once in a lifetime chance to do something like that," told Friemering.

Tegan added that the full support from her family made this past weekend even more memorable.
