The opening day for the Wapakoneta water park is just days away, and they are ready for visitors to jump in.
Those with the pool say that preparations for the pool season is an almost all-year event, with some of the first things on their list starting all the way back in the winter. With warm weather expected for the weekend, pool employees are looking forward to Saturday's grand opening.
"When you get to the point of a day or two away from opening and realize that it’s going to be 80-something degrees and the water is nice and blue, and everything looks clean, the guards are trained - it’s an exciting time to think about opening up on the weekend," said Jack Hayzelett, pool manager.
The water park will be open starting on Saturday, May 26 through August 19.
