01/24/18 11PM Story:
Inclement weather to blame for a four vehicle accident, and closure of both eastbound lanes on U.S. 33 in Auglaize County.
This crash happened on Eastbound U.S. 33 near mile post 11, between Kettlersville and Bay Road just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night. Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said a car slid off the highway, and another car stopped to assist. When both drivers were outside their vehicles, a third car hit the back of another, causing one driver's own vehicle to hit him as he was standing on the side of the road. Troopers said that impact caused the other vehicle to go into the middle of the highway, causing a fourth car to hit it, and that fourth car also went sliding off the highway.
The man that was struck while standing on the side of the highway was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured. The eastbound lanes were reopened two hours later.
