LIMA, OH (WLIO) - If you are looking to watch the eclipse in the company of others, the West Ohio Food Bank is the place to be on April 8th.
The West Ohio Food Bank will be hosting an eclipse watch party and is inviting the public to attend. Their "Shine a Light on Hunger" viewing party will be in their back parking lot, which is used for monthly food distributions. They are asking for a $10 donation to get in. Not only will you get a great spot to see the eclipse, but you will also get a drink and snack ticket, a door prize entry, and a pair of ISO-certified viewing glasses while supporting a good cause.Â
"That will go toward general expenses and what we do here at the food bank to try and help those in need in our communities," explained Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager at West Ohio Food Bank.
Gates will open at noon on April 8th, and it's first come, first served. Parking will be available until it is full. The West Ohio Food Bank is located at 1380 E. Kibby Street, Lima, OH 45804.
