Ohio food banks are concerned about funding cuts in Ohio Senate proposed budget

The Ohio Association of Foodbanks requested 50 million dollars to meet the needs of the growing number of people requesting help to feed their families. Locally, the West Ohio Food Bank saw an increase in first-time visitors to their facility as extra SNAP benefits stopped. In May, they served over 16,000 clients with more than 3,000 of them being new to the food-banking network.
