The Lima Fire Department was called out to 1024 West Wayne Street just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday. A neighbor reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a second-floor window. The residents were in the garage at the time. The firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
Police are currently looking for a driver that fled the scene after their car hit a gas line in Lima. According to the Lima Police Department, a driver was heading northbound on Central Avenue when they struck the gas line at the corner of 4th Street and Central.
The Lima Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1004 W. High St. around 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Only one person was home at the time of the fire. Upon arrival, Lima Fire found the woman on the roof of the porch. One they got her down, she was transported to St. Rita's for treatment.
