Shawnee United Methodist Church is opening its doors Saturday to help families in need this holiday season.
“A lot of them have needs, just like our clients do,” said Greg Sowinski, communications coordinator for Allen County Children Services. “So just because they're not a client of the agency does not mean that they don't face some of the similar issues that our clients face, especially with financial means being limited.”
Organizers are currently in need of donations, especially children’s clothing. Items can be dropped off at the Children Services office at 123 West Spring Street on the following dates and times:
Friday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Large furniture and appliances **will not** be accepted.
