ANNA, OH (WLIO) — Anna wasted no time setting the tone for its 2025 season, rolling to a dominant 55-0 victory over Spencerville on Friday night.
The Rockets, coming off a 10-win campaign that ended in the regional finals against Coldwater, showed they haven't missed a beat.
Senior running back Zeb Pleiman ignited the offense early, breaking loose down the sideline for a touchdown that helped Anna take control in the first half. The Rockets found the end zone repeatedly, scoring touchdowns early and often behind a relentless offensive attack.
Wyatt Howell added to the rout with a powerful run to the outside, breaking a tackle on his way to another Anna touchdown.
Anna’s defense was just as impressive, holding Spencerville scoreless and rarely allowing the Bearcats to move the ball past midfield.
The win marks a strong start for the Rockets, who look to build on last year’s deep postseason run.
