BLUFFTON — The Bluffton Pirates are in the win column.
After dropping their first two matches to start the season, Bluffton bounced back at home Tuesday night with a sweep over Pandora-Gilboa, winning 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.
The Rockets fought early, with Corrin Luginbill powering through a block for a kill and Neveaha Alvarado finding a gap to keep Pandora-Gilboa close in the third set.
But the Pirates answered. Senior Ashley McLaughlin delivered an ace, and Kendall Stackhouse put away the final point off a setup from Vanessa Cross to seal the sweep.
With the victory, Bluffton improves to 1-2 on the season while Pandora-Gilboa falls to 1-1.
