BOTKINS, Ohio (WLIO) — Botkins entered the night as the lone unbeaten team in Shelby County League play, and the Trojans showed why with a dominant performance against Fairlawn.

The Jets tried to mount a comeback in the third quarter as senior Ethan Elliot knocked down a contested three-pointer while fighting from a double-digit deficit. But Botkins answered immediately with defense turning into offense.

Will Monnin forced a turnover that led to an easy bucket for Eli Pitts on the other end, extending the Trojans’ lead and keeping control firmly on the home side.

Fairlawn briefly found momentum when Elliot came up with a block in the paint, setting up Kayden Miller for a corner three that energized the Jets. Still, Botkins had an answer for every run.

Tucker Huelskamp capped the night by powering through contact for an and-one, putting an exclamation point on the Trojans’ statement win.

Botkins improved to 7–0 in Shelby County League play with the 64–32 victory, remaining the only undefeated team in conference action.
