Kenton finishes runner-up in OHSFCA D-II 7-on-7 state championship

HILLIARD, Ohio — Kenton’s 7-on-7 football squad made a strong run in the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Division II state championship on Monday, ultimately falling to Harvest Prep 22-15 in the title game held at Hilliard Darby High School.
The Wildcats earned their place in the final with back-to-back wins over Indian Lake in the quarterfinals and perennial state power Kirtland in the semifinals. Their performance capped off an impressive showing against top-tier competition from around the state.
In Division I, Lakota West edged Avon 21-20 in a thriller at St. Charles Prep to take the top prize.
Congratulations to Kenton for an outstanding run in the 7-on-7 state tournament.
