Kenton tops Jefferson 3-1 in back and forth matchup

DELPHOS — Kenton emerged victorious in a hard-fought girls volleyball matchup, defeating Jefferson 3-1 on the road.
The first set saw both teams trading points, with Sidney Payne giving Kenton an early four-point lead. Jefferson responded as Libby Wallace delivered a spike to tie the game, but Kenton’s Bralya Bulter went on a run to push her team ahead 15-10.
Jefferson rallied in the set, with freshman Kate Brinkman using her height for a key block to tie the game at 16. Kenton answered back, with senior Kylie Searson serving up an ace to help secure the lead.
In the end, Kenton took the match in four sets, showing poise and consistency to outlast Jefferson, 3-1.
