HARROD, Ohio (WLIO) — Jefferson picked up a conference win Tuesday night, defeating Allen East 2-0 in Northwest Conference girls soccer action.
Both goalkeepers were sharp in the opening minutes. Jefferson’s Liberty Hawk sprawled out to deny an early attempt, while Allen East’s Sydnee Bayman stood tall on a close-range chance to keep the game scoreless.
The Wildcats eventually broke through when senior Kyah Kimmet found the back of the net late in the first half to give Jefferson a 1-0 lead at the break.
Kimmet doubled her tally in the second half, beating the keeper again to secure the victory.
With the win, Jefferson earned a road shutout while Allen East was left still searching for consistent finishing in front of goal.
