LIMA — Lima Central Catholic remained unbeaten with a 70-43 home win over New Knoxville, securing its second victory over the Rangers in the past 20 years.
LCC opened strong on the defensive end, with Brady Parker jumping a passing lane for a steal and layup to put the T-Birds in front. After New Knoxville tied the game, Hunter Williams answered from beyond the arc to restore a three-point lead.
Connor Hoge hit a three to keep the Rangers close, then followed it with a steal and layup as New Knoxville tried to cut into the deficit. Early in the second quarter, Carson Lammers connected with Evan Fledderjohann for a bucket that brought the Rangers within one possession.
LCC responded with a run to regain control. Parker found Jaxon White in the corner for a three, sparking a surge that allowed the T-Birds to pull away for good.
LCC moves to 3-0 with the 70-43 victory.
