ELIDA, OH (WLIO) - The Elida Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lima Senior Spartans in a Division III sectional semifinal.
Lima Senior trailed 20-17 in the third quarter after Angela Kohlhofer knocked down a contested midrange jumper.
Elida answered on the other end with a catch-and-shoot basket from junior Shae Rager to keep the momentum with the home team.
Later in the quarter, with the game tight, Jaislynn Ingram drilled a 3-pointer, part of her 12-point performance to pull the Spartans within two at 28-26.
Elida responded behind 6-foot-2 senior Emma Mitchell, who scored inside and controlled the paint. Mitchell finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Spartans 12-6 in the fourth quarter to secure a 42-32 victory.
