NEW BREMEN, Ohio (WLIO) — New Bremen continued its dominance over St. John’s on Friday night, rolling to a 42–7 victory at Cardinal Stadium for its seventh win in the last eight matchups between the two programs.
Junior running back Jacob Kelly led the charge for the Cardinals, scoring three first-quarter touchdowns as New Bremen jumped out to a commanding 28–0 lead before halftime.
Kelly opened the scoring on the Cardinals’ first possession, breaking free for a 37-yard touchdown run. He added a second score from inside the red zone on the following drive and later sprinted untouched for his third touchdown of the quarter.
Quarterback Gavin Dicke also contributed on the ground, weaving through defenders for a rushing touchdown as the Cardinals’ offense overwhelmed the Blue Jays early.
St. John’s managed to get on the board in the second half, but by then the outcome was well in hand.
With the win, New Bremen improved to 42–7 on the night, showcasing a balanced attack and a defense that kept St. John’s in check from start to finish.
