LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The sounds of love are making their way around the region this Valentine’s weekend as the “Men in Red” searched for unsuspecting sweethearts during the Lima Beane Barbershop Chorus’ annual fundraiser.
One quartet stopped by Lima Memorial Health System to surprise a wife with a singing Valentine from her husband. Evanne Dunlap was caught off guard when the group arrived at her workplace to serenade her.
Singing Valentines have been a longstanding fundraiser for the Lima Beane Barbershop Chorus.
“I was very surprised. I just was sitting here at work, and all of a sudden some very wonderful gentlemen walked in, and I got a couple songs, some too, any message you want to send to your husband? Oh, thank you, hubby. That was amazing. Very, very sweet. Made my face little red, a little hot now, but it was very, very nice. Thank you. Happy. Valentine’s Day,” said Dunlap.
