COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio High School Athletic Association has released updated divisional alignments for the 2024-25 winter sports season, and while the overall movement was limited, several area schools saw changes in basketball classifications.
On the girls side, Bath and Liberty-Benton both moved up from Division V to Division IV, while Anna also saw a bump, going from D-VI to D-V. Ayersville dropped to D-VII, and Bellefontaine’s girls program shifts from D-IV to D-III.
For the boys, Findlay now joins the Division I ranks. Bellefontaine moves up a division to D-III, while Bluffton, Coldwater, and Anna all transition from D-VI to D-V. Tinora, meanwhile, moves down to Division VI, and Antwerp will compete in Division VII this winter.
Despite the adjustments, the majority of West Central Ohio's more than 70 schools remain in the same divisions, with relatively minor shifts across the board.
