OTTAWA, Ohio (WLIO) — Two state tournament teams from a season ago clashed on the pitch as Ottawa-Glandorf hosted Columbus Grove at Titan Stadium.
The Titans struck first in the opening half when Delaney Duling sent in a corner kick that found senior captain Karsyn Erford, who converted on a header to put O-G up 1-0.
Columbus Grove goalkeeper Erianne Heffner kept the Bulldogs in the match with several key saves, including a one-on-one stop early in the second half.
But Ottawa-Glandorf’s pressure proved too much. With under 10 minutes to play, Liv Grothause connected with Erford, who buried her second goal of the match to secure the win.
The Titans improved to 1-2 on the season with a 2-0 victory, while Columbus Grove continues to search for its first win.
