MARIA STEIN, Ohio (WLIO) — It took double overtime to decide it, but Marion Local found a way to stay perfect and extend its historic winning streak.

With the game tied at 21 in the second overtime, Kamden Eifert — who already had three touchdowns — powered into the end zone for a three-yard score, giving the Flyers their first lead of the night.

Anna answered with a touchdown of its own but came up just short on a two-point conversion attempt, as Marion Local held on for a 28–27 victory.

The win marks 72 consecutive victories for the Flyers, who continue to dominate the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) standings. Marion Local will hit the road next week to face Minster in Week 9 action.
