DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) — The second week of the high school football season is in the books, and one standout moment has been crowned our K-and-M Contracting Play of the Week.
It comes from the Holy War rivalry between Delphos St. John’s and Lima Central Catholic.
With the T-Birds leading 21–0 and threatening to score again before halftime, Blue Jays senior Riley Mueller made the defensive play of the night.
Mueller went airborne to haul in an interception in the end zone, denying LCC a chance to extend its lead.
Although St. John’s would eventually fall 28–7, Mueller’s highlight-reel effort stood out as the top play of Week 2.
The Blue Jays now turn their attention to conference play against Versailles in Week 3.
