DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) — After another week of standout performances across the high school hardwood, one moment rose above the rest as the newest K&M Contracting Play of the Week.

The honor goes to St. John’s senior Cameron Elwer following his historic performance in the Blue Jays’ Midwest Athletic Conference matchup against Minster.

In the fourth quarter, Elwer pulled up and knocked down a jumper that officially etched his name into conference history. With the basket, the Blue Jay senior became the all-time leading scorer in the MAC, surpassing the previous record of 2,046 points set by Versailles' Justin Ahrens back in 2018.

The Furman commit delivered a dominant night, finishing with a game-high 45 points. Elwer now sits at 2,062 career points and counting.

St. John’s rolled past Minster in the conference showdown, and Elwer’s milestone moment capped off another memorable night in the early stages of the high school boys basketball season.

Elwer and the Blue Jays will return to action at home against Van Wert on Tuesday. Until then, congratulations to Cameron Elwer on earning this week’s K&M Contracting Play of the Week honors.
