Shawnee surges past Bowling Green in Division III sectional final

LIMA (WLIO) — Shawnee took command in the second half and never looked back in its Division III sectional matchup with Bowling Green.
Alexis Whetstone caught fire in the third quarter, drilling three triples on her way to 15 points. Cadence Wilson added a three-point play off an offensive rebound, while Heaven Watkins beat the buzzer with a steal and long heave to cap the quarter.
Ava Gadson led all scorers with 20 as the Indians surged to a 64-21 victory. Shawnee advances to face Celina on Tuesday at Columbus Grove.
