SHAWNEE — The Shawnee Indians continued their postseason run with a straight-sets win over Lima Senior in the Division III sectional finals.

After taking the first two sets, Shawnee dominated the third behind strong serving from Chelsea Burkholder, who opened with an ace to put the Indians ahead early. Cadence Wilson and Burkholder connected for a quick-hitting play that extended the lead to 6-0.

Gianna Upshaw added more firepower at the net, hammering down a kill, before Ja’Lynn Olds sealed the match with the final point in a 25-4 third-set victory.

Shawnee now advances to face the winner of Elida and Defiance in the next round.
